Mayor Dent believes the economic forecast is looking brighter for McCleary. He said Mike's Market and the Next Door Cafe will be reopening soon. He also stated the remaining lots in Cedar Heights have been sold to a builder and may be under development soon.
Folks from Beehive Retirement expressed a need for improved street lighting and road conditions.

City water meets all primary drinking water regs. The taste, odor, and appearance issues are not health concerns. Rotten egg smell caused by hydrogen sulfide due to iron in our water. Manganese is cause of metallic taste.

A water leak of some sort was believed to be present in area near Main Street. Area dug up, old abandoned wood water stave water line and old buried catch basin discovered. Catch basin was plugged and causing leak. Investigation continues, new catch basin will be installed, issue will be explored further as storm system is cleaned.

City still busy filling potholes, grading shoulders and gravel roads, along with their usual duties.

WSDOT will sweep all streets and stripe when they are able.

Cemetery expansion grading done, will be planted in grass.

Fire and law enforcement worked to find missing 4 year old boy who had wandered away from home. He was quickly found unharmed , he had taken his two dogs on a walk.

Kids are out of school and out playing. Please remember to drive safely and carefully.

Increase in illegal fires, please review fire safety rules before doing an outdoor burn.
